The CBA-International Christian Retail Show is the largest annual gathering in the world of anyone and everyone involved in the creation and distribution of Christian products. It is the place where the Christian Retail Channel meets, and it all provides some excellent interview and story opportunities for all types of media. Many newspaper and magazine writers, as well as television and radio program producers, come every year and put dozens of interviews in the can in just a few days or use the time to scout for future guests or stories. Private rooms and other interview space is made available for media to talk with the hundreds of authors, recording artists and other personalities and experts who attend the show. CBA is the trade association for the Christian Retail Channel, serving the interests and meeting the needs of member Christian stores including independents, regional and national chains, church-owned stores, franchises, and marketing groups. These stores provide Bibles, Christian books, curriculum, apparel, music, videos, gifts, greeting cards, children's resources, and other materials. CBA and their member stores also work with associate-member book publishers, record companies, gift companies, and other product suppliers. Along with the Christian Trade Association International, CBA also serves the meeting and information needs of Christian stores and suppliers in over 50 countries around the world. In 2008 in Orlando, nearly 7,500 people attended the show, including 2,386 professional attendees and over 700 international representatives from 59 countries around the world. Once there was a young boy named Arthur J Stubbs who dreamt of becoming an astronaut just like many other boys his age. Most of us will never go to space - at least, not for a decade or so. But while we may not be able to go on a space walk or bounce around in zero-G, the prospect of being able to send something into the Great Beyond sounds like a decent consolation.I’d like to time the start of the project to the anniversary of the first man’s step on the Moon 39 years ago. The main objective of the project “IntoSpace.org” is to send a catalog of photos and logotypes of its members into space together with one of the space expeditions. Our catalog will consist of 300 sheets (300 “rockets”), every “rocket” will be able to deliver up to 1000 “astronauts” by occupying the place of 25×40 cm. on a single sheet. Un estudio global de la firma Dove, llamado 'La belleza viene con los años', reveló que el 91 por ciento de las mujeres entre 50 y 64 años creen que es tiempo de que la sociedad cambie su perspectiva sobre la mujer y la vejez.
"Las mujeres mayores de 50 (87 por ciento de las encuestadas) creen que son muy jóvenes para ser llamadas viejas", dice el reporte, realizado por el gerontólogo y ganador del Pulitzer, Robert N. Butler.

"When I came to 50 (in 1996) were still wearing the Baby Boomers and acting as if they were 30," says Shirley W. Mitchell, author of Fabulous after 50® (Fabulous after 50®).
"That led to the 'new age' that makes today's women are more active in what were their mothers or grandmothers," he adds.

Author Promotions by Fran...
Book Promotion Newsletter was born in March 2003. Fran began with 10 subscribers and at one point subscriptions reached 1500. She compiled a questionnaire with all her burning questions that she continues to send to each new subscriber. Two years later, she had so many creative marketing strategies from subscribers that she put together a book called "Book Marketing from A-Z" (Infinity Publishing 2005), containing the best marketing tactics of 325 of them. Francine Silverman was a newspaper reporter for many years but her writing/marketing career really began in 2003 when she was author of two local guidebooks, "Catskills Alive" (1st and 2nd editions, 2000 and 2003) and "Long Island Alive" (2003), both published by Hunter Publishing. A Second Chance At Life © & National Wear Red Day

Today, February 6, 2009 is National Wear Red Day promoting prevention of heart disease. The simple, powerful way to raise an awareness of heart disease and stroke and support the fight against heart disease in women is to Wear Red Today. I will be Wearing Red Today, why don't you join me. Also a donation to the American Heart Association would be a great help.
July 4th, 2008, my perfect health for 70 years came to a sudden stand still. Thanks to modern medicine and a Heart Pacemaker placed in my chest, I am again a bionic woman with a second chance at life. It took me a few days to get my mind wrapped around the fact that my perfect health I had enjoyed all my life was gone.
I felt like King David in 1 Samuel 30:1-6, King James Version of the Bible. "And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire:
(2) And had taken the women captives and were therein: they slew not any, either great of small, but carried them away, and went on their way.
(3) So King David and his men cane to the city, and behold it was burned with fire; and their wives, and their sons, and their daughters, were taken captives.
(4) Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept until they had no more power to weep.
(5) And King David's two wives were taken captives.
(6) And King David was greatly distressed; for the people spoke of stoning him, because the soul of all the people were grieved, every man for his sons, and for his daughters: BUT KING DAVID ENCOURAGED HIMSELF IN THE LORD HIS GOD.
As David, we will pray to our God and He will hear. Verse 8, "And David enquired at the Lord, shall I pursue after this troop? (Amelekites) Shall I overtake them? And He answered, pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all." And David recovered all! Verse 18, "And David recovered all that the Amalekites had carried away; and David rescued his two wives."
So, like King David, I grieved over my sick heart, then I encouraged myself in my God. Being under the umbrella of God's presence I knew my new Heart Pacemaker was gain, not loss. Nothing is lost under the protection of God. As we live the Christian Abundant Life, our recovery from hard times begins on the inside soul as we connect with the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Encourage your self in the Lord today and wear RED! Connect with Him for divine guidance. The victory is yours. There is victory in Jesus.
Many people in our world today are hurting! We are in war, economic stress, global warming, natural disasters, failing health, families are falling apart, and addiction plague many lives. In such times as these it is imperative we connect with our creator, the ruler of the universe.
As I charge forward with my new Heart Pacemaker, I have a new zeal for encouraging others to encourage themselves in their God, making their grand finale of life victorious!
Help me to Celebrate National Wear Red Day Today... and support the American Heart Association and the Go Red for Women Program !
